1. Why do you think want you need a web site?

2. What would the goal be of that web site?

3. Briefly describe what your business what you want to promote on the web site

4. Does your competitor have a web site?

Yes No

5. Please list any URLs that you would like us to review (competition, sites you like, etc.)

6. Do you already have your own domain name?

Yes No

7. Do you need web hosting?

Yes No

8. Would you want monthly or periodic maintenance?

(A good web site, once created will continue to evolve and develop, so it can't be viewed as a static document.
Keeping a site updated regularly is key to being successful.)

These last two questions are really important. There are numerous resources that offer free web design, web site hosting, etc., but it is true, "you get what you pay for." We have tried numerous free services in the past and they are NOT always the best. You will need to deal with mandatory advertisements, slow uploading of files, difficulty in editing files, and slow technical support.

For a business to succeed on the Web, its site must be "user-friendly." First impressions are critical-if visitors find your site poorly organized, you are going to lose potential customers.

9. Does your company have a custom logo, graphics, and/or colors?

Yes No

Your web site should be an extension of your regular business. Using your correct colors, font, layout, graphics etc. will make your site unique and "visually pleasing"

10. Do you want the ability to allow visitors to order online, request information, access a database, leave messages, etc.?

Yes No

People are going on-line to access information about people, places, and things. You want to offer a site where visitors can find out about your product or services quickly and easily. Having an "interactive" site is necessary.

11. Would you like help with online advertising?

Yes No

Advertising your site is another whole issue. What works for one site, will not for another. This can be more time consuming than designing a site. After the site is up, that is the best time to deal with advertising. There a plenty of options available on and off-line.

12. Would you like help with local online advertising?

Yes No

We hope these few questions have helped you pull together your thoughts and ideas. The above items are all things you and the web designer will need to discuss in creating a web site. There is a lot to consider in the beginning but a good web designer can help you sort through it all.

Getting a web site up is not impossible or very expensive if it is done correctly the first time. Having a web site that will be pleasing to the eye and contain the information you want can be a great resource and asset to your company.

We will be in touch soon. (Once all fields are filled out, press submit to send your answers).
